Shine TV was founded by Elisabeth Murdoch in early 2001 and after rapid organic growth has entered the top ranks of UK production companies supplying television content to the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five, Sky and UKTV and now has offices in London, Manchester and Cardiff. Led by Joint Managing Directors Karen Smith and Jamie Munro, and Head of Drama Julian Murphy, Shine TV creates and produces popular, compelling and quality entertainment, factual and drama programming. Shine TV’s programming includes: Biggest Loser (ITV), Merlin (BBC), Build a New Life in the Country (Five), History Cold Case (BBC), Got to Dance (Sky), Don’t Stop Believing (Five), The Naked Office (Virgin 1) and Sex... with Mum & Dad (MTV). Shine is also home to MasterChef, the BBC’s premiere food brand, which includes spin-off MasterChef the Professionals, Celebrity MasterChef and Junior MasterChef.
